Kinder Kampus provides a warm, loving place for your child to grow and learn each day. We are a center for children ages 2, 3, and 4 and feel a happy, consistent environment promotes the best possible learning. Upon arrival you’ll notice that our center reminds you of a small cottage that welcomes our students into school as if coming home. Our students use the A Beka curriculum, and the Beyond Centers, and Circle Time curriculum as well as many “hands on” learning activities. A Beka provides a solid approach to skills at each age level and our curriculum is presented at a pace directed towards each learner’s ability. BCCT is a small group/”center” focused curriculum that allows for children to experience skills through play. A Beka is used worldwide for its emphasis on academics as well as its basis on Christian values.
Special Programs
We provide the opportunity for our children to succeed in all areas of learning. Throughout the year, we enjoy several “in house” field trips, guest speakers, and our Christmas Program presented by our 3 and 4 year old classes. This is one of the highlights of our year and is always shared as a favorite memory by former students who stop by for visits. Kinder Kampus has been a part of Seminole County for many years and we are very proud of all our former graduates who have gone on to become successful, active learners in our community.
Outdoor Classroom
Our students experience a wide range of indoor classroom activities and we expect the same for our outdoor time as well. While they are given ample time for free play and exploration, we feel it is necessary to offer guided learning lessons outdoors to pique their interest in nature and the skills that can be acquired outside. Our students participate in our garden to plant, water, and harvest herbs, tomatoes, peppers, and pineapple. We use these to create snacks and lunch menu items. They also plant a variety of flowers to observe and enjoy along with the butterflies and moths they attract.
A morning snack, mid-day lunch, and an afternoon snack are included in the weekly tuition fee. The four-year-old class helps to plan the menu each month. The goal is that if the students choose the foods that are being prepared then they will eat. Fresh fruit and vegetables are paired with a other snack choices or lunch items. The students also plant and harvest some vegetables and herbs that are used in our meals. We make every effort to support their menu choices while keeping the content and portions aligned with the healthy plate guidelines of nutritionists. We recognize that some students may have different dietary needs and we work with you to see that your child receives an appropriate meal choice.
